Welcome back to our “Inside Axiom” blog series where we sit down with one of our employees and ask them questions about their position and experience at Axiom. We recently sat down with Kristen Granquist, a Marketing Brand Manager, to gain insight on her role. Our in-house Marketing Agency focuses 100% on Axiom and our clients’ needs.

Q: What is your current position and how long have you been at Axiom?

A: I am our Marketing Brand Manager and I’ve been a full-time employee at Axiom since July of 2020. My first position at Axiom was the Product & Compliance Intern during the summer of 2019.

Q: What does a typical workday look like for you?

A: That’s a loaded question because the beauty of working in marketing is never having two days that look the same! Speaking generally, I spend my days assigning tasks to our creative team, reviewing completed designs, monitoring and making posts for social media, and creating content for presentations, blogs, websites, etc.

Q: What makes Axiom’s marketing efforts stand out from the competition?

A: I have the privilege of working with some incredibly talented designers, developers, and storytellers. With this creative team we have at Axiom, we’re able to stay away from a cookie cutter approach and craft messaging that tells a story and resonates with whatever audience we’re aiming to reach that day. Rather than operating like an assembly line where projects are passed from one team member to the next, our Marketing & Design team works in unison to make sure the story is heard clearly throughout the project.

Q: What is your favorite project that you have worked on?

A: My favorite projects are things we will brainstorm as a group or create from scratch like new brand/product development.

Q: What is one of the toughest challenges you have overcome at Axiom?

A: A tough time for me at Axiom was the winter of 2020 leading into 2021 where we worked strictly from home for a few months. It was tough trying to stay in sync with everyone, especially being a marketing team that thrives on collaboration.

Q: How has Axiom helped you in your career development?

A: As a 20-something, I don’t often hear other people my age who see their original ideas come to fruition. In my experience at Axiom, I’ve had the opportunity to earn responsibility and have been handed the reins on more major projects than I can count.

Q: Which of Axiom’s company values resonates the most with you and why?

A: Axiom’s core value that resonates with me the most is “Passion.” In a time where work-life balance is so highly sought after, I’m thankful to work for an organization that appreciates and supports what I love to do outside of the office: coach fastpitch softball. Playing softball was such a big part of my life for so long, and now I’m blessed to work for a company that allows me to give back to the game in a huge way.
